| Direct School Admission (DSA) Exercise 2009 |
The DSA-Sec Exercise was first introduced in 2004 as part of MOE's move towards a more flexible and broad-based education system. Under the DSA-Sec Exercise, schools will be able to select a percentage of their students for admission outside of the centralized posting system, via their own selection criteria.

| Selection Criteria |
The purpose of the selection trial is to determine their shooting potential.
The selection trial consists of three stages: |
| |
-
Anthropometric Measurements: This involves measurement of the length of the arm (upper arm and lower arm), length of index finger, weight and height.
Applicants must be born between 2nd Jan 1997 and 2nd Jan 1999, with height preferably not less than 1.45m and BMI within the range of 18 to 24.
-
Calculate your BMI using this formula:
Weight (kg) |
Height (m) x Height (m) |
-
Physiological Assessment: Tests will be conducted to determine the applicant's ability to hold a steady shooting position and to determine heart rates while doing the activity.
-
Shooting trial: This consists of assessments in technical handling, shooting posture and grouping of shots.
|
| All three stages of the selection trial will be completed in a day. |
