Introduction
ST John Ambulance Brigade (SJAB) has a strength of 40 cadets. 10 of them are the ambulance cadets while the remaining 30 are the nursing cadets.

Our motto is “ For The Service Of Mankind”.
Teachers in charge are Mdm Hartini Kassim and Mr Thiruckumaran.

Our activities are held every Monday from 4.30-6.00pm and on Friday 2.30- 6pm. SJAB at AISS provides not only basic First Aid and CPR, Home Nursing (for Nursing cadets) and Transportation of Casualty ( T.O.C. for ambulance cadets) but also enrichment programmes in order to provide them with holistic development and leadership qualities and to be an all-rounder students.


Our activities are as follows:
  1. Theory and Practical for First Aid , CPR, Home Nursing & T.O.C.
  2. Enrichment Programmes ( Cadet Proficiency Badge Scheme- CPBS for eg, kayaking, hiking, expedition and many more )
  3. Public Duties
  4. CIP ( Visit & Entertain the old folks at Swami Home, Cleaning Beaches, CIP at the National Library and many more)
  5. NCO Camp
  6. Fund Raising ( Flag Day/Carnivals/Walkathon & Donations)
  7. Annual Inspection
  8. Annual Camp
  9. Camp Crafts ( survival cooking and many more )
  10. Outdoor Games

Achievements for the Year 2008
  1. CAA Silver award (assessment for 2007)
  2. SJAB cadets trained the sec 1 students on First Aid
  3. SJAB cadets assisted in the Teachers training in First Aid
  4. First Aid Competiton at Zone Level; Category-Nursing Adult- 2nd , Nursing Cadet- 3rd
  5. Cadets attended Advanced NCO Course
  6. Cadets attend Basic NCO Course (AISS host the event)
  7. Obtained 150 Cadet Proficiency Badge in 2008
  8. Achieved 7 Chief Commissioner Badges
  9. Achieved 11 Chief Commissioner Badges
  10. Cadets participated in the Guard of Honour/Marching contingent
  11. 3 Cadets in SJAB SYF CONTINGENT
  12. Man-hour of Public Duties performed- 625 hrs in total
  13. Cadets Attended the Cadet Drill Instructor Course.
  14. Cadets attended Civil Defence Course (SJAB cadets including the SJAB VH students)
  15. 1 cadet representing AI for National Camp
  16. All cadets took part in SJAB Walkathon -collected $1009.95
  17. SJAB Flag Day (with SJAB VH students) -collected $2239.42
  18. Cadets attended the Combined Corps Camp (Zone Level)

CAA Awards – Gold CAA Awards – Silver CAA Awards – to be announce in April 2006 Second for both nursing cadet and nursing adult for first aid zone competition.
Sergeant Zoelyn represented Singapore for the Singapore-Malaysia First Aid Competition. Nursing cadets and Nursing adult teams became champion for the First Aid Competition at zone level. 2 cadets, Ang Zhi Yeong and Kang Mun Yee represent Singapore for the Singapore-Malaysia First Aid Competition. We came in first beating both teams from Malaysia  
Nursing cadets and Nursing adult teams became champion for the First Aid Competition at zone level.   Cadets successfully accumulated 94 CPBS badges.  
    Cadets successfully collected $1200 for the carnival at SJAB Headquarters.
