Introduction
The library serves as the hub of the School’s educational programme, being a place for reading, studying and research. The library’s varied layout provides the space for individual study, leisure reading and project work.
The Library Club engages its members to promote the love of reading and learning through understanding of the electronic resources, use of the library catalogue,Dewey Decimal Classification system, collation of information, organizingactivities like Scrabble, Spelling Bee and Taboo game competitions, camps and book selections.
Student Librarians Training’ Workshops
In order to equip student librarians with the necessary skills to play an active role in the library, the Library Club organizes talks and workshops on Personal Motivation, Reading & Information Literacy, Project Management and Social Media For Teens. These will enable our student librarians to develop teamwork and a sense of belonging to the MRLC and be equipped to play an active role in promoting reading and use of the library’s resources.
